B&O FootballTerms

Terms

Last updated September 22, 2026

B&O Football is a private NFL pick'em pool among friends, run by Greg Barlin, now in its fifteenth season, for entertainment only. This site is the scoreboard. These terms are short because the arrangement is simple: it is a game between people who know each other, not a service anyone is buying.

Who can use it

People the pool manager has added to the roster, and nobody else. There is no public sign-up. Accounts are personal — do not share yours, and do not make picks as somebody else.

How it works

When something goes wrong

Feeds break, scores arrive late, and software has bugs. If the site gets a result or a score wrong, the manager corrects it and the standings are rebuilt from the corrected data. The manager's decision is final on scoring, spreads, a missed or ambiguous pick, and anything the rules do not cover. Raise it with him rather than with the software.

What is expected of you

What it does not promise

The site is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will be available, correct, or working when you want it. It is a personal project, offered free, maintained by one person in his spare time. If it is down at 12:58 on a Sunday, tell the manager; picks made before a game's kickoff stand, and he will sort out anything the outage got in the way of.

Your account

You can stop taking part at any time, and ask for your account to be removed by emailing gbarlin@gmail.com. What is kept and what is deleted is set out in the privacy page. The manager can remove an account that is being misused.

The dull but necessary part

This pool is for entertainment only, and always has been. It is a game among friends and bragging rights are the point of it. Nothing here is legal advice. These terms were written in plain language by the people running the pool rather than by a lawyer, and are meant to describe how the pool works, not to be leaned on in an argument.

Changes

If these change in a way that matters, the pool gets told. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
